CHARACTERS

Gabriela is the protagonist of this project and she was incredibly fun to design. I really enjoyed experimenting to find the look that would match the vibe of strong but warm lady that I had in my head since the very beginning.
She was inspired by Korra from The Legend of Korra, Vi from Arcane and two real life friends that supported me throughout the making of the project.

Kevin was also extremely fun to design. Specially experimenting with how the glow and transparency would interact.
When making him I took inspiration from The Spot (Spider-Man Across The Spiderverse).

ENVIRONMENTS

From the very beginning I knew the events of the story would come into motion in an abandoned house. Ironically is one of the last sets I designed, but I'm very proud of the results.

City Storefronts
I always pictured the "city" portion of the story to be taking place in alternate version of Vancouver, which was my main reference for its design. There is also a little bit of Chicago and New York in there influencing some changes to make it more unique
For the forest I wanted to design a place that would evoke a lot of calmness and bliss. A place to truly stop and breathe, with a lot of elements from autumn and winter.

The RV's design was very influenced by Appa from Avatar The Last Airbender and the Rusty Bucket from Ben 10.

When making the blade I referenced a lot the weapon designs in Jujutsu Kaisen
